FAQs

Please view our Area Covered page for a full break down of our operating area.

I do not live on your regular cleaning route can you still provide the service?

Although we must operate on a strict route to follow the refuse collection rounds, we can sometimes make a special trip to carry out the service. Please contact us and we can either fit you in or direct you to an alternative cleaning company.

When will my bin be cleaned?

We will confirm when your cleaning commences once your booking has been processed. It will usually be within 24 hours of your refuse collection on the notified date, provided we are in your area.

We visit the selected areas on a 4-weekly cycle. We visit on the day the bins have been emptied and clean recycling and food/garden bins one week and non-recycling the following week.

What happens at Bank Holidays including Christmas/New Year?

Where a council changes their collection day because of a bank holiday we shall endeavour to clean on the day it is emptied. Your council will notify of those changes.

We take an extended break at Christmas and New Year, which is communicated beforehand. This is due to collection changes by all the different councils we operate in, and to allow schedules to fall back in line with the normal rota.

Where will my bin be located for cleaning?

Ideally leave them at your boundary where the refuse collectors find them. We will clean and return them to the property unless we have had a special request to return them to a specific location.

How do you recognise my bin?

Once we add you to the regular cleaning round, we shall apply a sticker to the bin with your house number/name so that we can easily identify it on the next visit.

Can I put rubbish in the bin after it has been emptied, but before you clean it?

We would ask that you do not put any rubbish in the bin before we clean it. If this is unavoidable, we do carry sacks and will place the rubbish back in the bin after cleaning.

Can I put a different bin out for cleaning?

No, our operatives will only clean the bin booked onto the round list they carry for the day. However, we can make arrangements if needed for additional one-off cleans, just prearrange with us before the scheduled visit.

What if I have more than one of the same bin?

Contact us so we are clear on which bins we are cleaning at your address. We are flexible with arrangements if you only need us to ‘pick one’ of the same bin based on cleaning need, or we can add multiples of the same bin.

How and when do I pay?

We prefer regular customers to set up our GoCardless monthly payment mandate which will be taken on a specific day each month. Please note that we continue cleaning your bins monthly unless you inform us that you wish to cancel our services.

The same GoCardless system can be used for one-off cleans, debiting a single transaction after we clean. We do also accept cheques and bank transfers, for one-off cleans or extended contracts, where the customer does not want to set up a direct debit mandate. We expect payment within 14 days of completing your bin clean.

How does the monthly payment balance with the number of cleans completed?

As we clean every four weeks the number of cleans in a year is forty-eight divided by 4 or 12 cleans. We collect payment calendar monthly, twelve times per year and take an extended break at Christmas and New Year. On commencement of our service, scheduled cleaning dates are confirmed to our customers.

How do I book the service?

Use the online booking form on the website. Once received we shall schedule into the next appropriate route plan and confirm when we will be coming, usually by email.

How do I know when you are coming?

We issue an email reminder on the morning of your visit.

A calendar is provided for monthly customers. This is always available on the website and specifies when we will attend and what bins we shall expect to be available for cleaning. A copy can be sent on request.

Do I need to be there while my bin is being cleaned?

It is not necessary for you to be there when the bin is cleaned. On the first visit we just need to identify which bin is yours.

How will I know the bin has been cleaned?

Hopefully, you will see a clean bin and be able to smell how fresh it is when we have completed the job. We shall return bins to your property or a specific location if required, simply let us know.

A complimentary slip is available on request.

What if my bin has not been cleaned?

Each cleaning operative maintains a diary and will make a note if this occurs, and we will update our office record accordingly.

What happens if the council have not emptied my bin?

We will always endeavour to clean your bin on the day stated. If you know the bin has been emptied and we have missed you, please let us know immediately and we shall endeavour to get back to you that day or the following day. We can work up to 6pm during busy seasons due to demand, so feel free to contact us to check our progress.

Can I cancel at any time?

If for any reason you wish to end the service or switch to another location in our area just let us know and we will make the necessary arrangements to make a refund or transfer the service.
